AHERA Program, Archdiocese of Philadelphia
ACER provides comprehensive asbestos consulting and AHERA management services for schools, commercial, industrial, and institutional clients, including AHERA management plans, 3‑year reinspections, 6‑month surveillance, asbestos surveys, management‑planner recommendations, abatement design and oversight, air monitoring and clearance sampling, worker training, and full regulatory notification and reporting to ensure EPA, OSHA, state, and local compliance.
Since 2003 ACER has managed the AHERA asbestos management program for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s 89 schools, providing full-service AHERA compliance, 3‑year reinspections, and 6‑month surveillance inspections. Our licensed management planners recommend repairs or abatement of damaged asbestos-containing building materials (ACBMs), and ACER oversees all abatement projects including pre‑abatement notifications, contractor oversight, on-site air monitoring, clearance air sampling, final inspections, and post‑abatement reporting. We also perform biannual file audits to verify employee two‑hour asbestos awareness training, contractor notifications, parent and facility communications, and complete documentation to ensure EPA, OSHA, state, and local regulatory compliance.
