Hammonton Water Department

ACER provides professional underground utility locating and mapping services to accurately detect, verify, and document buried utilities for design, construction, and asset-management projects. Using ground‑penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic locating, surveyed potholing, GPS/GIS integration, and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) to QL standards, we deliver survey‑grade maps, as‑built documentation, conflict analysis, and CAD/GIS deliverables that reduce utility strike risk, support permitting and design, and streamline construction schedules.

In order to complete remediation of contaminated soil associated with a former coal gas facility, select utilities at the Water Department property needed to be relocated.  ACER Associates utilized a combination of instruments including a RadioDetection RD8100 utility locator with a TX-10 transmitter and a GSSI SIR-4000 ground penetrating radar (GPR) with a 350 MHz antenna were  to perform utility mapping at the property.  Utlities identified at the site included water, electrical, natural gas, and telephone.

Following the utility mark-out, ACER conducted precise mapping using ESRI Field Maps to collect GPS data at an accuracy of 1 centimeter.   The utility map was provided to the client in ESRI shapefile and AutoCad drawing file formats.
