Bader Field, Atlantic City, NJ
ACER supported the environmental assessment and remediation of the former Bader Field site, delivering targeted Phase I/II ESAs, soil and groundwater investigation, contaminant delineation, and remedial action planning to enable safe redevelopment. Working with regulatory agencies and project stakeholders, we provided risk assessment, vapor intrusion evaluation, and construction‑phase oversight to manage liabilities, protect public health, and keep the redevelopment schedule on track.
Turn-key environmental services were provided to the City of Atlantic City for the removal of USTs and remediation of soil and groundwater, in preparation for demolition and construction of a minor league baseball stadium. A UST removal specification was prepared and gasoline USTs were removed from the former Department of Parks building. Following the closure of the USTs, contaminated soil was delineated and excavated from the site. Upon completing the soil remediation activities at the site, a remedial action report was prepared and submitted to the NJDEP. In addition, monitoring wells were installed at the site to delineate the extent of groundwater contamination.
